South African President Tests Positive for COVID

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has been infected with the coronavirus. On Sunday (December 12), he was diagnosed with the virus. President Ramaphosa has mild symptoms and is receiving medical treatment.

This was reported in a report on Monday (December 13) by Reuters, the BBC, and Al Jazeera.

The South African president’s office statement said, “President Cyril Ramaphosa has been feeling unwell since he left a ceremony at the State Memorial Service in honor of former Deputy President FW de Klerk in Cape Town. On Sunday.”

The statement added that President Ramaphosa had completed a dose of Corona Ticker and attended the ceremony on Sunday shortly after Mask. After feeling sick, his Corona was tested, and he tested positive.

According to the president’s office statement, Cyril Ramaphosa is currently in isolation in Cape Town. He has asked Deputy President David Mabuza to assume all responsibilities until next week.
