BNP is the champion of communal violence and militancy: Obaidul Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that BNP is the symbol of communal violence and militancy in Bangladesh. During the BNP-Jamaat inauspicious alliance, they turned Bangladesh into a sanctuary of terror and militancy. Obaidul Quader said this in a statement on Monday. This statement was made by condemning and protesting the habitual lies and misleading statements of BNP leaders including BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. He said, “BNP, which is crazy about grabbing state power, is inciting communalism through terrorist methods by failing in the democratic movement. Speeches and statements of BNP leaders prove their involvement in the recent attacks on the Qadiani community in Panchgarh. Awami League General Secretary said, “Their responsible leaders have given provocative statements on this incident through social media and the incident has been pushed towards conflict by spreading rumors from various Facebook pages and IDs.” Obaidul Quader said that communalism and extremism are against the existence of Bangladesh and are the main enemies of democratic spirit and values. To maintain his unconstitutional and illegal power, the military dictator Ziaur Rahman practiced religion-based politics and planted the seeds of radical communalism in this country. In its continuation, BNP has always been playing the card of communalism by spreading rumors and creating a religious frenzy in politics and the election field.
