270 officers of BCS administration cadre were promoted to the post of senior assistant secretary.
On Wednesday (September 13), the Ministry of Public Administration issued two notifications in this regard.
268 officers have been promoted through a notification. It said that 268 officers of BCS (Administration) cadre were promoted to senior scale as per Rule 5(b) of Bangladesh Civil Service Recruitment Rules, 1981. All the promoted officers will submit their joining letter to the Senior Secretary, Ministry of Public Administration as Officers on Special Charge (Senior Assistant Secretary) (Email-iapp@mopa.gov.bd) and will continue to work in their respective positions at their current post until reassigned.
Two officers on educational leave have been promoted through another notification. The order will be issued after returning from educational leave/ lien and joining the Ministry of Public Administration.
As a result of this promotion, they will now be paid in Grade VI of the National Pay Grade-2015. The basic salary of this grade starts from 35 thousand 500 taka to 67 thousand 10 taka.
