Mashrafe said, Tamim did not want to be in the team, the reason can be told only by Tamim

Bangladesh’s World Cup squad was announced yesterday, and it was revealed that Tamim Iqbal will not be part of the team due to fitness concerns. Despite his own fitness issues, Tamim had expressed his desire to play in the World Cup, but the team has been formed without him.

It had been previously reported that Bangladesh’s captain, Shakib Al Hasan, and coach Chandika Hathurusingha were not interested in having “unfit” or “half-fit” players in the World Cup squad. Following Tamim’s omission from the World Cup squad, there has been considerable discussion on social media about this decision.

Tamim’s exclusion from the World Cup squad has sparked debates and controversies. Former captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, who is now a member of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, attempted to clarify the situation. He posted a status on his personal Facebook account last night, saying, “There might be some misinformation going around. Tamim hasn’t been dropped; he himself didn’t want to be in the team. The decision to not include him is a significant one. I have a lot of respect for Tamim. Now, the question may arise, why didn’t Tamim want to be in the team? The answer is not known to me. Only Tamim can answer that.”

This development has stirred up discussions about Tamim’s decision not to be part of the World Cup team. It remains a subject of speculation and debate among cricket fans and experts in Bangladesh.
