The music festival was fired from an Israeli helicopter

On October 7th, during the Palestinian resistance movement in Israel following the Hamas attack, Israeli helicopters fired shots into an ongoing music festival from the air. As a result, many Israelis were killed by gunfire from their own military. Several videos on social media have circulated regarding this incident.

According to News Week, the video shows Israeli AH-64 Apache attack helicopters launching missiles and gunfire from the sky to the ground. In the footage, it can be seen that the Israeli helicopters are targeting vehicles, trucks, motorcycles, and people present at the festival with the fired shots.

A person who survived a bloody incident near the Kibbutz bordering Gaza told the news media that the Israeli forces may have unintentionally killed their own people. He mentioned that Israeli civilians, suspected of being left-wing sympathizers, were targeted and harmed by their own security forces when the Hamas fighters were approaching the captive Israelis.

Al Jazeera reported that in a police investigation, it was observed that the attack helicopters of the Israeli military were seen raining gunfire on the attackers. However, many present at the music festival were also affected. Further details about the incident were not provided.

An anonymous police officer, revealing his identity to disclose information, stated, “In the investigation of the incident, it is seen that Israeli military helicopters of the Ramat David Airbase have come and showered gunfire on the terrorists. The gunfire from the helicopters also hit several celebrants present there.”

Approximately 4,400 people were present at the event. Among them, about 364 people, including 17 police officers, lost their lives. The Hamas attack had no prior information about the festival. Therefore, there was no plan to attack there. Their target was the nearby Kibbutz Re’im and other villages near the Gaza border. They entered Israel using drones and parachutes. Hamas captured around 40 people from there.

On the day of the Hamas attack, about 1,200 people in Israel were killed. They detained nearly 240 people. Since then, Israel has been launching attacks on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Over 12,000 people have already died in Gaza, including more than 5,000 children.
