Ahead of the 12th National Assembly elections, the Election Commission (EC) ordered to keep the scheduled banks open on the two days before the polls (Friday and Saturday) in order to meet the election expenses.
On Wednesday (January 3), EC Deputy Secretary Md. Atiyar Rahman sent instructions in this regard to the Governor of Bangladesh Bank.
