President Mohammad Abdul Hamid called upon the army to stand by the people at all times in their need.
He made the remarks while meeting the President at Bangabhaban this evening. During the meeting, he congratulated the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff.
During the meeting, he highlighted the glorious role of the Bangladesh Army at the national and international levels and said the army has always come forward in times of crisis including various disasters.
Abdul Hamid wished the new army chief success in his duties.
