Record of Corona identification, death and infection in 24 hours

There is a new record of death due to coronavirus in Bangladesh in 24 hours. According to a press release issued by the Department of Health, 230 people have died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Bangladesh.

In the last 24 hours on July 8, the number of deaths due to Covid-19 had crossed 200 for the first time. On the third day, the death toll from coronavirus dropped to 200.

The number of newly infected coronaviruses has also increased to 11,084. Earlier, on July 8, a maximum of 11,851 people was identified.

Thus, the total number of people infected with coronavirus in Bangladesh stood at 10 lakh 21 thousand 189 people. However, compared to the last few days, the detection rate has decreased compared to the sample test. The detection rate is 29.7 in proportion to the sample tested in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, a maximum of 6 people has died in Khulna division. 57 people died in Dhaka division. Besides, 39 people died in Chittagong division, 26 in Rajshahi division, 5 in Mymensingh and 22 in Rangpur.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 40,015 samples were tested in the country. So far, a total of 18,419 people has died.

A study by the Bangladesh government found that 80 per cent of infections are now caused by the first detected delta variant in India.

In such a context, the one-week ‘strict lockdown’ imposed from July 1 has been extended for another week, which will continue till July 14.
