Another 3.5 million doses of Corona vaccine, manufactured by US pharmaceutical company Moderna, are coming to Bangladesh under the international vaccine distribution program COVAX. Earl Miller, the US ambassador to Bangladesh, also confirmed the information in a tweet.
Earlier this month, 1.2 million doses of the US-made modern vaccine arrived in the country to prevent coronavirus infection. These vaccines are sent from COVAX, an international platform for vaccine delivery around the world.
Emirates Airlines Flight EK-584 arrived in Bangladesh on July 2 at 11:30 pm with a Moderna vaccine. A total of four vaccines for coronavirus have been introduced in the country with the Moderna vaccine.
On June 27, the Department of Drug Administration approved the emergency use of modern vaccines in the country. The vaccine was approved at the request of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
