Bangladesh’s all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has left the country to play for Kolkata Knight Riders in the UAE in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Shakib left Dhaka for Dubai on Sunday (September 12) at 2.45 pm.
The fourteenth edition of the IPL was postponed mid-May on May 2 due to the increase in corona in India. Then there were 29 matches. The rest of the IPL will start again in the United Arab Emirates from September 19, which will end on October 15.
Shakib was playing three matches in the first part of the postponed IPL. He took 38 runs with the bat and two wickets with the ball in those matches.
Shakib’s Kolkata will play against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Abu Dhabi on September 20.
So far, Kolkata is in the seventh position of the table with two wins in 7 matches and 4 points at five rates.
