Govt. started the implementation of ‘Bangabandhu Education Insurance’

On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, work has started to implement ‘Bangabandhu Shiksha Bima’. On Sunday, the Financial Inclusion Department of Bangladesh Bank issued a directive and sent it to the chief executives of all scheduled banks in the country.

Under the overall management of Life Insurance Corporation, the financial transactions of this insurance can be done in the school banking of the students. However, Bangladesh Bank has instructed not to charge any service charge or fee for this.

On Sunday, the Financial Inclusion Department of Bangladesh Bank issued a directive and sent it to the chief executives of all scheduled banks in the country.

The government has started implementing ‘Bangabandhu Shiksha Bima’ so that the educational life of Kamalmati students is not ruined due to lack of money. The premium of this insurance policy is TK 25 per month, TK 300 per year, and the insurance amount is TK 1 lakh.

According to the instructions of the Central Bank, the implementation of ‘Bangabandhu Shiksha Bima’ in honor of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has started on the centenary of Mujib with the overall cooperation of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority. The Life Insurance Corporation will act as the insurer. Financial transactions related to Bangabandhu Education Insurance can be done through the school banking account of the students. No service charge or fee can be deducted for this.

At the same time, students have been instructed to open school banking accounts and encouraged to continue transactions. Other insurance guidelines will also remain unchanged.
