No one will be exempted for committing irregularities: Tajul

If there is any irregularity, no one will be exempted, said the Minister of Local Government Md. Tajul Islam.

He made the remarks at a discussion on ‘Bangabandhu’s Political Philosophy: What to Do to Implement a Prosperous Bangladesh’ at the IDEB building in the capital on Friday (December 31).

Speaking as the chief guest at the function organized by Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers Council, he said the ministry has been instructed to maintain the quality of work, adhere to the timeline of the project and not to build unreasonable infrastructure. Many have been fired for substandard work. Whoever commits irregularities, no one will be exempted.

The minister said that the ministry is following the policy of reward for good deeds and reprimand for bad deeds.

At the same time, he assured the diploma engineers to solve the problem and fulfill the logical demands.

Regarding Bangabandhu, he said, Bangabandhu was the leader of the hearts of all people. He has repeatedly appealed to the Pakistani ruling class for the realization of the just rights of the Bengalis. For this Bangabandhu had to go to jail innumerable times. Inhuman torture has to be endured. Even then he never bowed down to injustice.
