The words of secularism do not fit in their mouths: Kader

General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Roads, Transport, and Bridges Obaidul Quader said that the words of non-communal Bangladesh do not fit in the mouth of those whose politics started by destroying the democratic values and spirit of the liberation war of Bangladesh. He said this in a statement on Wednesday. The statement condemned and protested the recent statements of BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and other leaders of the party as anti-national. Obaidul Quader said that the people of the country know very well that the politics of the BNP is the center of communal politics. Every time BNP has come to power, it has patronized communal evils.

Obaidul Quader also said in the statement that the BNP General Secretary’s impersonation of non-communalism and democracy is a kind of mockery of the country’s people. Mentioning that the democratic rights of the people of this country have been established at the hands of the Awami League, the statement said, Awami League is doing its utmost to develop and maintain democracy.
