Donkey eats muddy water: Information Minister on BNP election

Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud said about BNP’s statement about not going to the elections under the current government, “Donkey eats muddy water.” Even in 2018, the donkey had muddied the water. Hashan Mahmud said these things after exchanging views with the Bangladesh Climate Change Journalists Forum on the occasion of the World Climate Conference COP-27 at the Secretariat on Sunday afternoon. This information was informed in a press release of the Ministry of Information. Hasan Mahmud said, ‘They (BNP) are saying not to go to the elections again. But I know many leaders of BNP. Whatever Mirza Fakhrul says, BNP leaders are eager to go to the polls. The information minister said, “In 1977, Ziaur Rahman hanged thousands of army personnel without trial. BNP is the party that committed arson and anarchy along with Jamaat. Those who went to the field and threw bombs, not only them but behind them there is financing, there are those who give orders. The order givers and financiers of BNP should be brought under justice. It is now the demand of time. “Foreign diplomats were there, they cried. I was forced to cry myself. The journalists cried, and even the Prime Minister could not hold back his tears there. Hashan Mahmud said, “Every speaker said that we should be able to see the trial of killing my husband, child, or father in our lifetime. The children of the man who was killed without trial in 1977 said, “We don’t know where our father’s grave is.” They demanded from the Prime Minister to know where their father’s grave is and that this murder should be brought to justice. In the exchange meeting of the Bangladesh Climate Change Journalists Forum at the secretariat, the organization’s president Kawsar Rahman, general secretary Motahar Hossain, and joint secretary Masud ul Haque were present.
