Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has claimed that the Sheikh Hasina government has no problem with whom the United States has invited or not invited to the democracy conference. He said that whether the democracy of this country is right or not is a matter of the government of this country. Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said these things while addressing the Chief Guest at the ‘Peace Rally’ organized by Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League at Kaderabad housing area of Mohammadpur in the capital on Friday. Regarding not inviting Bangladesh to the Democracy Conference, Obaidul Quader further said that it is important for the government whether the people of the country can participate in the elections, and whether they can speak or not. This is the essence of democracy. Criticizing BNP, Obaidul Quader said, ‘How many places did he go to America to bring a ban? Could you? Donald Lou came, Derek Scholl came. What happened Has the meeting with the BNP? But he was sitting at the US embassy day and night to see if he could get a meeting or not. Claiming that the government has had positive discussions with foreign diplomats, Obaidul Quader said, “There are no foreign friends with BNP. America does not exist. The people of the country are not with BNP. BNP has become friendless. Now they have no choice but to sit at home, lie down, watch Hindi serials and watch the police movement through the window. BNP is the poison of democracy, democracy is not safe for them, country or people are not safe for them. Obaidul Quader also commented that BNP wants to make Bangladesh into Afghanistan. For this, he urged the people from BNP to be careful and alert. He said, “Sheikh Hasina’s government has honored the women of the country. The government has given wide scope to women in the workplace. Awami League government has honored mothers. BNP will turn Bangladesh into Afghanistan. And Afghanistan means keeping women under hijab-burqa at home. Awami League organizing Secretary Mirza Azam highlighted the development of the government and said that if the country is to move forward, Sheikh Hasina should be installed as the prime minister again.
