BNP is an obstacle to democracy: Information Minister

Information Minister and Joint General Secretary of Awami League Hashan Mahmud said that BNP is an obstacle in the way of democracy in Bangladesh. This information was informed in a press release sent by the Ministry of Information. The information minister said, “Actually, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is engaged in an attempt to kill democracy and as a part of that attempt, they tried to prevent the election in 2014. They have made every effort to question the 2018 elections. Because they want to kill democracy, they make various statements to cover it up. Stating that there will be no caretaker government in Bangladesh, Hashan Mahmud said, “The current government will serve as the government during the election and the election will be held in our country in the same way as in all the parliamentary democratic countries of the world.” In India, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, the incumbent government serves as an elected government in several continental European countries. Even in the United States, presidential governments do not resign. “The caretaker government is only in Pakistan and they (BNP) like Pakistan, so even if they want to imitate Pakistan, nothing will happen in Bangladesh,” the minister said. At the Awami League central office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital, Sheikh Hasan Mahmud said that every child should have a dream in life. Persistence in realizing that dream will be the key to fulfilling his life goals. Parents and teachers need to take care of this. Hasan said, “You have to dream. He who does not have a dream does not have the desire to fulfill his dream. So, I request children and teenagers, you dream and also put in a constant effort to make your dreams come true. Then many of your dreams will come true. And do not lose patience if you lose in any work, but work with redoubled zeal, and success will overtake you. Despite failing university exams, Bill Gates became a world-class genius, Ambedkar, who spent his childhood as a low-caste untouchable, became the Law and Justice Minister of India, APJ Abdul Kalam, a child of a poor family, and became the President of India. – He said this in a discussion meeting on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Kishore Parishad. Former members of Jatiya Sangsad Shahidul Islam, council advisor Sirajul Islam Molla, and Farzana Sahad Chowdhury spoke on the occasion under the chairmanship of General Secretary KM Shahid Ulya. Stating that the Sheikh Russell National Children and Adolescent Council has been playing an outstanding role in organizing children and adolescents for 35 years and developing their talent, the broadcasting minister said, “Prime Minister Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina observes the activities of this organization with great interest and is always sympathetic to the organization. Because children are the future of the nation. If we can build them properly, then we can build the future of the nation. Children associated with organizations are ahead of others in many ways. In that case, Sheikh Russell National Children and Adolescent Parishad are playing a role.
