BNP is scared of elections: Information Minister

Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Joint General Secretary of Awami League. Hasan Mahmud said that BNP and Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir have no confidence in themselves. They know that BNP has distanced itself from the people because of a lack of trust. Because of this BNP  is scared of elections. That’s why they are saying ‘no’ even in printed ballots and ‘no’ in EVMs. If you continuously run away from the election, one day the entire BNP party will run away from the people. Earlier, the Information Minister addressed the special convocation of the university as the chief guest. Professor André Senken, Chairman of the University of Brussels, was awarded an honorary doctorate at the ceremony. Mirza Fakhrul said that after BNP had said that they will not go to vote by EVM till now, the Election Commission has now announced to vote by print ballot, and they are not interested in that either. If you want to know about this, Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, BNP is only following the path of conspiracy and trying to muddy the waters. Spreading propaganda at home and abroad. And they are always engaged in trying to create chaos in the country by holding the hands of foreigners. But there will be no benefit from doing them. Addressing the journalists, the Information Minister further said that if you look a little, you will see that BNP participated with all its might in the 2008 elections and won only 29 seats. Ran away from the election in 2014. In the 2018 elections, the right-left, far-right-far-left, and the Taliban united with everyone. Together they got only six seats. Later, including the female seat, there are a total of seven seats. That’s why they know they have no chance in this election. That is why BNP and their allies have no faith in elections or the democratic system. Earlier, at the special convocation of the Asian University for Women, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting thanked the authorities for establishing such a university in his hometown and said that many graduates have passed out from this university after a few years of its establishment. They continue to play a role in the progress of society and the progress of women in society as a whole. They have applied to the government for allotment of more land to establish a medical school in Chittagong under this university. We have discussed the matter with the authorities.
