Prime Minister’s tribute to Bangabandhu’s portrait

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to the portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of the historic Mujibnagar Day. On Monday at 7 am, he placed a wreath at the portrait in front of Bangabandhu Bhavan at 32 Dhanmondi. First, Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to the portrait of Bangabandhu as the Prime Minister. Later, as Awami League president, she paid tribute to the top leaders of the party for the second time. After paying his respects, the Prime Minister went inside the Bangabandhu Bhavan and stayed there for some time. Later when Prime Minister left Dhanmondi number 32 was opened for all. At this time, a large number of leaders and activists of Awami League and allied organizations paid tribute to Bangabandhu’s portrait. Today is historic Mujibnagar Day. On this day of Agnijhra in 1971, the swearing-in of the first cabinet of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was held as a beacon for the Bengali nation affected by the invading forces. On this day, the grave of an integral Pakistan was marked by reading the oath of the government and the Declaration of Independence. A new history of independent Bangladesh was written. The independent and sovereign People’s Republic of Bangladesh took place on the world map through the 9-month armed liberation war.
