Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said, “Whenever we hear about militant activities, we identify them and arrest them.” Whoever the militants are, under what name they are coming, does not matter to us. We are getting the upper hand, they are armed, they are militants. The Home Minister said these things in response to a question from journalists after the closing parade of the 99th recruit batch at Bir Uttam Mojibur Rahman Parade Ground of Baitul Izzat Border Guard Training Center and College in Satkaniya, Chittagong. The Home Minister was present as the chief guest at the parade. Asaduzzaman Khan said that for those who have gone on the wrong path, if they (militants) want to return to normal life, then the government will give them all possible support. Earlier, in the speech of the chief guest at the parade, the Home Minister said to the new soldiers that discipline is the main identity of a soldier. He never backs down from his orders and duties, he is a true soldier. Integrity, Intelligence, Reliability, Loyalty, Brightness, and Enthusiasm are the criteria of discipline and professionalism in a force. He expressed hope that the young soldiers will reflect these qualities and uphold the traditions of the army. Earlier, the Home Minister saluted the young soldiers in the parade. 539 new soldiers, including 37 women, took oath in the 99th recruit batch.
