Due to heavy rains, floods and landslides in Chittagong and Bandarban have become dire. Army has been deployed in both districts to deal with the situation.
This information was informed in a circular of the Directorate of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday (August 8) morning.
It has been said that the flood situation has worsened in Chittagong and Bandarban due to the continuous rains of the last few days. There have also been casualties due to landslides at various places. In this situation, the army was deployed.
Meanwhile, schools and colleges have been closed in Chittagong city today due to waterlogging.
