Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 43 people for the crime of selling and consuming drugs in the capital city.
They were arrested from Monday (September 25) at six o’clock in the evening until Tuesday (September 26) at six o’clock in the morning.
DMP’s Media and Public Relations Department Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) KN Roy Niyati said that 64 grams of heroin, 50 bottles of Phencidyl, 2512 pieces of Yaba, 15 kg of 70 grams of ganja and 50 intoxicating injections were seized from the accused.
He said that 34 cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been filed against the accused at the DMP police station.
