Joe Biden is going to Israel on Wednesday

In the midst of the ongoing conflict in Gaza, U.S. President Joe Biden is heading to Israel. His visit to Israel is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday. This information has been conveyed by the American administration.

Speaking to journalists on Monday, John Kirby, the spokesperson for the United States National Security Council, stated that at this critical juncture in the ongoing conflict, President Biden is traveling to Israel. It is mentioned that he will arrive in Tel Aviv on Wednesday.

Additionally, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken posted on the social media platform, ex-Twitter, yesterday, informing about Biden’s visit to Israel. From the American administration’s side, it has been communicated that during Biden’s visit, a message of solidarity from the U.S. administration will be conveyed to Israel. Apart from this, discussions will also be held regarding delivering humanitarian aid to the common people in Gaza and establishing a ‘safe passage’ for Gazans to evacuate safely, as per Biden’s plans.

At the end of his visit to Israel, Joe Biden will proceed to the capital of Jordan, Amman. There, he will hold meetings with Jordan’s King Abdullah, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas.

On October 7th, the Palestinian organization Hamas initiated an attack in Israel. In response, on the same day, Israel began a major offensive in a wide area. Since then, there have been continuous airstrikes in Gaza. The situation in Gaza reveals an extreme humanitarian crisis.

In light of this situation, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken traveled to Israel last Saturday. After Israel, Blinken visited Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Blinken stated that he had discussions with these Arab countries to ensure that the Israel-Palestine conflict does not escalate regionally. He emphasized the use of their own influence and relationships to ensure that nothing happens.

Moreover, last Sunday, the American television network CBS aired an interview with Joe Biden titled “60 Minutes.” In the interview, Biden was asked if he would support any Israeli action in response to the Gaza attacks. In response, Biden stated, “Invading Gaza would be a big mistake for Israel.”

Biden further stated, “I am confident that Israel will abide by all forms of disciplined policies in the conflict. I will ensure the supply of medicine, food, and water for the innocent people of Gaza.”
