Attacks on innocent Palestinians is a crime: Saudi prince

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, has stated that Israel’s indiscriminate bombing in unblocked Gaza amounts to a clear and heinous crime. He has warned that the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas could lead to catastrophic consequences.

According to a report by the Saudi state news agency SPA, the Crown Prince made these remarks during a meeting with the UK Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

As part of the UK’s unwavering support for Israel, Chancellor Sunak went to Israel to discuss the situation after a visit to Israel’s top leaders.

The Crown Prince emphasized that the deliberate targeting of civilians in Gaza by Israel’s bombings is a grave crime and a calculated attack. He also stressed the importance of working to ensure the safety of innocent people in Gaza.

The escalation of the conflict may lead to dire consequences, and the Crown Prince underscored the need for all forms of action to prevent the expansion of the conflict. He noted that if left unaddressed, it will have catastrophic repercussions on global security and stability.

The UK government’s statement also indicates that the last two weeks have seen numerous civilian casualties in Gaza, and both leaders are deeply concerned about this issue. In addition to that, they emphasized the urgency of delivering essential goods like water, food, and medicine to unblocked Gaza.

Saudi Arabia has been playing a role in mediating discussions between Israel and Hamas before the outbreak of hostilities. However, this mediation process has been put on hold as a result of Israel’s indiscriminate bombing campaign in Gaza.
