The Election Commission (EC) will have a courtesy call on Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan on Wednesday.
Supreme Court Appellate Division Registrar Mohammad Saifur Rahman gave this information on Tuesday.
Saifur Rahman said, Chief Election Commissioner and Commissioners will have a courtesy meeting with the Chief Justice on November 1. It is requested not to spread confusion in this regard.
The registrar of the Appellate Division Mohammad Saifur Rahman also said that after the Chief Justice took the oath, the officials including the heads of various departments and organizations are meeting him in this manner. Such meetings are also scheduled in the future.

Shafiqul Islam said in a circular that it is noticed that some media outlets have published news that instead of a courtesy meeting, the EC will come to announce the schedule of the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections, which is not correct.
According to EC sources, the EC is thinking of announcing the schedule for the 12th National Assembly elections in the second week of November. Before this, the EC will meet the President. The EC may have a meeting with the President on November 5.
