Fuel trucks enter Gaza, US says

“In defiance of the blockade in Gaza, fireworks have been sent to the Palestinian territory. The United States has informed that these fireworks will be used in Gaza’s hospitals.

National Security spokesperson at the White House, John Kirby, told journalists yesterday that six trucks carrying fireworks entered Gaza by crossing the Rafah border from Egypt. These trucks contain approximately 18,000 gallons of fireworks, which will assist in keeping the generators operational in Gaza’s hospitals.

Recently, it has been communicated from the Israeli side that the country will allow the entry of fireworks-bearing trucks into Gaza. However, the condition is that these fireworks can only be used for humanitarian activities in hospitals and by non-governmental development organizations (NGOs).”
