Bangladesh did not wait for such a dawn. New Zealand matches usually start at four in the morning; The supporter always has to wake up disappointed.

The past few years have evoked fond memories of winning Tests at Mount Monguni; But colorful clothes have never won.

After a long wait of 16 years and 18 matches, the moment finally came. Bangladesh got their first win against them on New Zealand soil.Tanjim Hasan Shakib, Shariful Islam’s bowling was very much confirmed after the first innings. The win was destined to happen unless the batting was incredibly bad, but it happened.

In response, the visitors reached the target with just 15 over 2 balls. The Kiwis won the series by 2-1, but Bangladesh are relieved to get their first win.

Bangladesh won the toss and decided to field first. The XI brings a change. Mustafizur Rahman replaced Hasan Mahmud. Tanzim Hasan Shakib and Shariful Islam have been doing the main work in bowling so far.

Bangladesh got the first wicket with the last ball of the fourth over of the innings. Rachin Ravindra punched Tanjim Shakib’s ball and caught it in the hands of wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim. He returned with 8 runs from 12 balls.

Tanjim made a maiden in the next over. Then came to bowl his fourth and team’s eighth over and got another wicket. This time, Henry Nichols caught 1 run off 12 balls at mid-on.
