Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to the portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the graves of the relatives of Bangamata in Banani after the absolute victory in the 12th National Assembly elections.
On Tuesday (January 9) morning, he paid tribute to Bangabandhu’s portrait inside Bangabandhu Bhavan at 32 Dhanmondi.
Sheikh Rehana, younger sister of Prime Minister, daughter Saima Wazed Putul, Sheikh Rehana’s son Radwan Mujeeb Siddique Bobby were present at the time.
Later, Sheikh Rehana paid tribute to Bangabandhu’s portrait separately there.
Earlier, Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana paid tributes at the Banani cemetery by laying flowers on the graves of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, who died on August 15.
