Metrorail extension from Uttara to Tongi under survey: Kader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that a study is underway for the extension of the much-desired metro rail from Uttara to Tongi in the capital. He said this after inaugurating the Bangabandhu Corner at the metro rail depot in Diabari, Uttara of the capital on Saturday (January 20).

Meanwhile, the construction work of the extended section from Motijheel to Kamalapur will be completed in June next year, he said.

Obaidul Quader said that the maximum convenience of the passengers will be ensured in the metro rail. And by 2030, six lines of metro rail will be launched.
