Flooding of 10 Villages Due to Dam Collapse, HSC Exams Postponed in Parshuram and Phulgazi

In Feni’s Phulgazi and Parshuram, breaches in the Muhuri River dam at five locations have led to the flooding of at least 10 villages. Consequently, the ongoing HSC and Alim exams scheduled for Tuesday (July 2) in Phulgazi and Parshuram upazilas have been postponed.

Feni District Commissioner Musammat Shahina Akter stated that on Monday night (July 1), the Muhuri River dam in Phulgazi and Parshuram upazilas broke, causing floodwaters to enter local areas. As a result, roads and homes in various areas were submerged. Given this situation, the HSC and Alim exams scheduled for Tuesday in Phulgazi and Parshuram upazilas have been postponed.
