Rest of HSC exam is half question and answer, date will be delayed

The examination of remaining subjects of HSC and equivalent examination will be conducted in half question and answer format. And the exam will be postponed by another 2 weeks from September 11. This decision was taken at a meeting held in the Ministry of Education on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Wahiduddin Mahmud, Education Advisor of the interim government.

Dhaka Education Board Chairman Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar told Prothom Alo this information.

For example, if you had to answer 8 questions in a previous subject, here you have to answer four questions. But the examination time is full time.

HSC and equivalent examinations were postponed several times due to the situation arising out of the quota reform movement in government jobs and student uprisings. First, the last July 18 exam was postponed. Then the exams of 21, 23 and 25 July were simultaneously postponed. The examination was then postponed from July 28 to August 1. Later it was decided that the HSC and equivalent exams will be conducted in the new schedule from August 11. But later it was informed that the exam is not being held on August 11. A source in the education board said that after Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister and left the country, the trunks containing question papers were damaged in attacks on police stations in various areas. For this, the decision to take the exam from August 11 was postponed. The Board of Education had recently proposed to the interim government to hold the postponed examinations from September 11. It was also approved.

Meanwhile, the examinees protested yesterday Monday at the Dhaka Education Board from noon to evening saying that they were not in a condition to sit for the examination. In the situation that arises, the examinees want the results of the examination to be published based on the number of subjects that have already been examined. After discussing with the higher authorities in the evening, the examination control of Dhaka Education Board gave positive assurance about meeting the logical demands. Abul Bashar.

As the reason, the examinees say that many examinees have also been injured in the movement of students. Education has also suffered. Under the circumstances they are not in a position to sit the exam. After that today it was decided to take half question and answer test for the remaining subjects of HSC and equivalent exams. And it was decided to postpone the exam from September 11 by another 2 weeks.
