The Prime Minister will hand over houses to 100 homeless families in Rangunia

In Rangunia, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over 100 houses built to landless and homeless families in the second phase as a gift of Mujib Year.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will formally inaugurate the land and housing program on June 20 through direct video conferencing. Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud MP and other high ranking administrative personalities of Chittagong Division will be present at the handover ceremony held on this occasion at the shelter center built in Bahalpur village of Betagi union of the upazila.

The Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) said, “No one will be homeless and landless in the year of Mujib”- told by Prime Minister, to implement this order this time 100 families are being given houses with land. In the first phase, 75 families have already got houses with 2 percent land.

Ramgatirhat Bazar, Dhemirchhara Government Primary School, Pahartali-Betagi Road and various important structures including Mahamuni Buddhist Monastery are located near these houses under construction in a beautiful natural environment. In this way, the houses of Rangunia Municipality, Rajanagar, Kodala, Shilak, Sarafvata and Pomra Unions including Betagi Union are waiting to be inaugurated after the construction work.
