Army chief in Mymensingh to inspect lockdown activities

Chief of Bangladesh Army General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed inspected the patrol activities of Mymensingh Army. The army chief visited the town hall junction area of ​​the city on Tuesday afternoon.

The Army Chief was accompanied by senior Army officials including GOC Lieutenant General SM Matiur Rahman of Army Training and Doctrine Command. There he exchanged greetings with the members of the army on duty. He expressed satisfaction over the role and activities of the army, administration and law enforcement agencies.

The Chief of Army Staff said, the Bangladesh Army will always be by the side of the people and will continue to work closely with the administration and law enforcement agencies to combat the Covid-19 epidemic under the direction of the Prime Minister and the Government of Bangladesh.

Army has been deployed across the country since July 1 to assist the civilian administration and law enforcement agencies in preventing the spread of Covid-19. In this context, Army members of Army Training and Doctrine Command are conducting regular patrols in Mymensingh district.
