Plans to open educational institutions from September

The government plans to reopen educational institutions with university and college level students from September after being closed for more than 17 months due to the Corona epidemic. School level students have been excluded from the scheme for the time being.

The government is also planning to hold SSC exams in November-December. The reasoning behind excluding school level students from this plan is that the current academic year is almost over. Even if the educational institution opens in September, it will not be possible to take half-yearly, annual examinations.

Educational institutions have been closed since March 17 last year after coronavirus patients were identified in Bangladesh. This closure period has been extended in several stages. In the latest announcement, the holiday has been extended till August 31.

In the meanwhile, the government had to move away even after thinking of reopening the educational institution twice. As a result, no one wants to say anything in advance and officially about opening educational institutions this time.

The government is planning to open an educational institution based on vaccination. Concerned parties say all plans depend on how many students can be vaccinated in the next one month.

Education ministry officials say the postponed exams will be taken earlier after the opening of the educational institution. As a part of this, the heads of the educational institutions have been instructed to clean the educational institutions for two consecutive days. Teachers at all levels have been given a timeline to expedite immunization activities. Vaccination of university residential students is also in full swing.

The government basically wants to open the universities first and finish the stuck undergraduate and postgraduate final exams first. After that, the government wants to move towards the admission test for the first year of graduation. The government is thinking of opening colleges and then schools.
