Association of Television Channel Owners (ATCO) and Broadcast Journalist Center (BJC) today welcomed the initiative of implementing ad-free (clean-feed) broadcasting of foreign TV channels, said a handout of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
It said the BJC, in a statement, also congratulated Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud for this initiative.
The BJC said despite the provisions in the Cable Network Operation Act 2006 to ensure the clean-feed, no initiative was taken to implement it in the past.
Welcoming the bold initiative of Hasan Mahmud, the BJC said both broadcast media owners and workers would benefit from the implementation of clean-feed.
