Preparation almost done to vaccinate 12-17 aged students: Dipu Moni

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni yesterday said preparations have almost been made to bring the students aged 12-17 under vaccination program against Covid-19.

“The government is working relentlessly to bring all the students under vaccination program across the country within the shortest possible time”, he told responding to the queries of journalists yesterday after visiting the examination center in the morning.

Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Mojlish, SP Milon Mahmud, Zeela Shikkha Officer Giasuddin Patwary and District Education Officer Md Giasuddin Patwary, among others, were present.

The minister said the government is working to balance the losses of SSC and equivalent candidates caused due to Covid-19 pandemic.

The examinations are being held in a peaceful environment due to the efforts of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and cordiality of the countrymen, she said.

Later, the minister inaugurated the infant care center at General Hospital. Supervisor of the hospital Dr Mahabubur Rahman and Acting District Civil Surgeon Dr Golam Kawser were also present on the occasion.

The campaign to vaccinate school and college students aged 12-17 against Covid-19 started in Dhaka city on November 1.
