After Two Days Chittagong Residents will run on Elevated Express Way

After the victory in the underground, the residents of Chittagong have now achieved victory on the elevated expressway. This time, they are eagerly awaiting the dream of the elevated road. And, just two days later (November 14), Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the 16-kilometer-long M. A. G. Osmani Elevated Expressway. This mega project has been implemented with the vision of providing practical transportation in the city over the next 50 years. Once it is operational, it will take only 20 minutes to travel from the city to the airport.

After the success of the river and railway networks, the dream of an elevated road has come true. This elevated road will change the city’s economy and communication system.

The construction of the 16-kilometer-long M. A. G. Osmani Elevated Expressway, from Lal Khan Bazar in Chittagong city to Patenga, began in 2018. The multi-story structure, stretching over the Atatalika area with its towering buildings, is ready for the movement of the elevated expressway. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate it on November 14.

Visiting the site, the chief engineer of the CDA said, “The elevated road will change the entire connectivity of the city.” The chief engineer of the CDA, Kazi Hasan Bin Shams, said, “Our plans are being made in such a way that these projects can run smoothly for at least 50-60 years.”
