Iran’s warning to Israel

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has stated that if Israel continues its attacks on Gaza, a war could potentially ignite on “other fronts.” He has alluded to the Hezbollah group in Lebanon as a possible participant.

Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Beirut on Thursday, where he received well-wishes from members of Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Lebanese activists.

Speaking to reporters in Beirut, he emphasized, “The continuation of aggression, war crimes, and the blockade on Gaza could realistically lead to the start of conflicts on other fronts.”

Before his visit to Lebanon, Amir-Abdollahian traveled to Iraq. It is speculated that as part of his regional tour, he will subsequently visit Syria.

His trip to Lebanon, where he addresses the heightened tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, is significant. Notably, Hezbollah is traditionally considered an ally of Iran.

Following Israel’s attacks, Iran’s top leadership has reasserted their support for Hamas in Palestine. However, Iran has denied involvement in Hamas’ actions against Israel.

On Saturday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian described the recent violence as a “year after year of ongoing crimes and killings” in a tweet from his official account.

Iran’s President, Ebrahim Raisi, referred to the events as a “victory for Palestinian forces and all Palestinian groups” in a statement broadcasted on television.

On October 11th, Raisi and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed the “necessity to halt war crimes against Palestinians” over the phone. This report has been published by Tehran’s state-run media.
