The ban on Corona infections was lifted yesterday. The government has already issued a notification to open almost everything from today in compliance with the health rules.
The circular signed by the Deputy Secretary said, all restrictions imposed on the celebration of Holy Eid-ul-Azha, public transport, pre-Eid trade and commerce, socio-economic conditions and economic activities of the country have been relaxed from midnight on July 14 to 6 am on July 23.
The notification also said, the public should be alert at all times and strictly follow the hygiene rules including wearing masks.
As per the government decision, from today all government, semi-government, autonomous and private offices, banks and financial institutions will remain open following the hygiene rules. The Bangladesh Supreme Court will issue necessary directions to keep the court running.
Besides, shopping malls, markets and shops can be kept open from 10 am to 8 pm following the hygiene rules. All kinds of industries will continue. Food shops, hotels and restaurants can be kept open from 8 am to 10 pm with half the seats vacant. However, in all cases, besides ensuring the wearing of masks, the hygiene rules framed by the Department of Health must be followed properly.
To prevent corona infection, the government imposed strict restrictions on July 23 from 6 am to 14 days. The ban expires at 12 midnight on August 5. Later it was extended till yesterday.
