Mirza Fakhrul is responding without reading the textbook: Information Minister

Awami League Joint General Secretary and Information Minister Hasan Mahmud called on BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to read the book before making any comments about mistakes and inconsistencies in the textbook. He said, “If anyone spreads rumors or confusion about the textbook, necessary action will be taken.” The information minister said this in response to questions from reporters after unveiling four books at the Amar Ekushe Book Fair premises at Suhrawardy Udyan on Friday afternoon. Hasan Mahmud said, “Continuously spreading confusion about textbooks is in no way appropriate. Just as many of those who do coaching or publish notebooks are involved in spreading confusion, Mirza Fakhrul Sahib is also reacting without reading the textbook. The information minister said, ’10-11 years ago there were some mistakes in the textbooks, they were corrected immediately. The words that are being said now are from 10-11 years ago. If there are any errors in the textbook, two committees of experts have been constituted to correct them. That committee will also sit with scholars and scholars if necessary. The Ministry of Education has already said that if any errors are identified, they will be corrected. Hasan Mahmud said, “Actually, there is no issue, that’s why the textbook is now involved.” Where, no matter what page, where is the mistake? They give opinions without reading. Mirza Fakhrul Sahib is trying to make a political tool by speaking about it. I will ask him to read the textbook first. Earlier, based on the book of Information Minister Bangabandhu, the BCS information cadre officer Afroza Rima’s poetry book ‘Kavitar Aloy Am Dhara Nayachin and ‘Kavitar Mayaay Karabhasya; Poet Irani Biswas’ research book ‘Bangabandhu: a husband and father and a collection of essays by journalist and cultural organizer Meezanur Rahman’ opens the door to Bangladesh now.
