Vote for the boat, we will give development-peace-prosperity: Sheikh Hasina

Awami League President Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has once again urged to vote for the boat brand, you vote for us, we will give you development, peace and prosperity.

He said this while announcing the Awami League’s manifesto for the 12th National Parliament election at Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon in the capital on Wednesday (December 27) around 12:30 pm.

Awami League’s twelfth election manifesto has been published in booklet form. Awami League president presented the manifesto in a short speech.

Sheikh Hasina said in her manifesto announcement speech, let’s once again vote for Bangladesh Awami League’s electoral symbol of the boat brand and give us an opportunity to serve you. You vote for us, we will give you development, peace and prosperity.

Highlighting the various developments of the Awami League government in the past years, the three-time prime minister said that we are responsible for all the mistakes and errors in the course of government management in the past 15 years. Success is yours. Look at our mistakes with a forgiving eye. We promise to learn from past mistakes and conduct future operations in accordance with your expectations.

He said, I have lost my parents, brothers, relatives and I came into politics only to finish the unfinished work of my father, the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and put a smile on the face of the people of this country. While doing this work, I had to face death again and again. But thinking about father, thinking about you, I did not back down.

Sheikh Hasina said, as long as Allah keeps me alive and healthy, I will not deviate from the duty I have accepted. I want to fulfill my father’s dream by working as your servant.

Commenting that only Awami League can take the country to a new height, he said that Bangladesh is standing at a transition period. The country is going to join the ranks of developing countries from the list of least developed countries. This passage is like an honor on the one hand, but also a huge challenge on the other. The government formed through the January 7 election must have the ability to face this challenge. Only Awami League can face this challenge and take the country to new heights.

Sheikh Hasina said that all the great achievements of this country, starting from the right to speak the mother tongue, independence of the motherland, have come from the hands of Awami League. By the hands of Bangladesh Awami League, the bearer of the spirit of the liberation war, Bangladesh will be established as a high-middle-income country by 2031 and a developed-rich smart ‘Sonar Bangla’ by 2041.

At the beginning of the program in the morning, the convener of the sub-committee of the manifesto and member of the presidium of the Awami League. Abdur Razzak gave the welcome address. After that, the general secretary of the party, Obaidul Quader, gave a speech. Top leaders of the party were present at the manifesto announcement ceremony.
