Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 41 people for the crime of selling and consuming drugs in the capital city.
They were arrested by conducting raids in different police station areas of the capital from Friday (June 23) to six in the morning on Saturday (June 24).
Media and Public Relations Department of DMP Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC). Farooq Hossain said that two thousand 143 yaba, 8.5 grams of 661 pure heroin, 18 kg of 950 grams of ganja and 50 bottles of phensidyl were seized from the accused.
He said that 30 cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been filed against the accused at the DMP police station.
