US Undersecretary for Democracy, Human Rights and Civilian People’s Security Uzra Zeya and the country’s Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Donald Lu have paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
They met the Prime Minister at Ganabhaban on Thursday (July 13) morning.
At that time, they were accompanied by the US ambassador in Dhaka, Peter Haas.
In the meeting, various issues including upcoming national parliament elections of Bangladesh, US visa policy, Rohingya crisis were discussed.
After the meeting, Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed the journalists.
